WOW! 3 Winners in 24hrs!

 In Uncategorized

Wow, what a 24 hours it was for the Bethell Racing team, owners and all connections over the weekend. The amazing 24 hours was set off in fine style from Coverdale who ran at Nottingham on Friday evening from a very good ride under Callum Rodriguez who rode him with such style. This was absolutely brilliant as not only did he win but this was also a back to back win for Coverdale after his success as Redcar!

Coverdale very pleased with himself after his two wins.

This was the perfect set up ready for Saturday’s runners which saw James McHenry set the tone for the day with him running a very gutsy race at Haydock which saw him perform very well under the ride of Callum. We then saw our next runner at Leicester with Lowton who ran a tremendous race throughout under a terrific ride from Phil Dennis. This saw another double this season which is absolutely fantastic for the team, the owners, and all connections. This brings us up to winner number 16 and still a consistent strike rate of 30% which makes Ed extremely happy as he loves stastics! We are all enjoying this moment with the horses, healthy, happy and running all to their best ability.

On Sunday Mountain Warrior & Nigwa ran at Hamilton. They both went there with good potential to win their races well. Mountain Warrior ran a superb race and considering his draw which was less than ideal he ran a very good race and it looked like he was going to win, he was just pipped to the post. He did exceptionally well and his owners, the team and all connections are very pleased and are proud how he ran. Nigwa had a repeat of Mountain Warrior’s race also coming second, she ran a very strong race and dug deep to try and get to get to the finishing post first. The horses ran well and came out of their races very well, sound and happy which is the main thing.

Yorkshire ran on the 11th and looked like he ran a fantastic race from start to finish and looked like he was cruising around the track in a lovely rhythm, Callum rode him splendidly and he looked like he was going to cruise to the post when another horse just beat him to the finishing post resulting in a photo finish. Yorkshire still thinks he won his race, it was disappointing because he deserved to win but this is the luck of horse racing.
