What A Run
Paborus ran in the Group 1 Champions Sprint race at Ascot on Champions day last week. He ran an almighty race from start to finish. He jumped well out of the gate and stuck to where he was drawn on the rail, while the rest of the field congregated slightly off the rail. Danny Tudhope stuck to his own plan and it so nearly paid off, he was leading the field by several lengths and looked like he was going to hit the finishing line first, Almeraq showed his turn of foot and came upsides to Paborus to just get his head in front on the finishing line. Paborus showed his class and ability and ran a huge race, to have only been beaten by a small margin and by the same horse that beat his in the Group 1 at Haydock in the Sprint Cup. A huge well done to Almeraq and all of his connections as that is a huge achievement to have won three Group 1’s. As Almeraq has now been retired and will go to stud, we look forward to seeing what he can do in his next career as a stallion. Who knows what door has been left open for Paborus for next year, we can only hope and dream and what an exciting one to be dreaming of. Paborus has now been turned away on his well earned holidays and we look forward to what next year has in store for him and all of his connections.

As the turf season is quickly coming to a close the horses are starting to go on their well deserved holiday before they start their conditioning work over the winter months to prepare them for the ’27 turf season which will come around quicker than we all know! As the majority of the horses are on their holidays or about to be we will keep a few horses going over the winter months on the all weather.
