Three winners in 24 hours!

 In Uncategorized

What a whirlwind couple of weeks we have had and where to start! The easy place to start is the epic 24 hours we all had when Coverdale, Rock of England & Rich Glory all won their respective races within 24 hours! All the horses were in fantastic form and this showed in their results!

Coverdale set the trio of wins off with a flying start with a very gutsy win at Haydock to add this win to his tally to make it a hat trick for him and Callum Rodriguez who rode him! Everyone was seriously impressed with this performance as he tried his hardest to get his head in front and to get to the finishing post first, he really did dig deep. A huge achievement for him and all of his connections & to his owners; The Clarendon Thoroughbred Syndicate.

Coverdale is very pleased with himself after his hat trick win!

Rock of England made the day a double winning one cruising to the finishing post in fine style. He had a change of jockey, Ben Curtis rode him and Rock of England also had blinkers on for the first time which seemed to have improved him hugely as he won by four lengths. Well done to his patient owners who have stuck by the horse throughout his career, as we all knew he had it in him to win like this rather than his other starts so far this season.

Rich Glory was our first 2yo winner of the season and he won in very fine style. He had improved vastly from his first run and has improved a huge amount in his work at home from his winning run and we are all very much looking forward to seeing him run next time out! A huge well done to his very loyal owners too who have supported Ed from the beginning of his career, it is always so rewarding when the homework over the winter starts to pay off and shows in the results, fingers crossed for his next start!

As always, a huge well done to our very hardworking team who have worked tirelessly for this first half of the season and without each individual team member we couldn’t achieve the results the yard has achieved so far.

This week we have a couple of runners, tomorrow Lady Roamer runs at Carlisle at 5.20pm. Tiamat & Powerful Response run on Thursday at Newcastle at 5.05pm under Daniel Tudhope & Tiamat runs at Hamilton at 8.30pm under Callum Rodriguez. Nigwa also has a few entries towards the end of the week but isn’t declared anywhere yet.

Next update will be a full debrief of Royal Ascot…
