A Double on the Weekend

Noche Clasica won very comfortably under a fantastic ride from Kevin Stott to win the Sky Bet For The Fans Holyrood Handicap at Musselburgh yesterday (Sunday the 12th of April). She picked up where she left last season with a win which makes it two out of two wins for her from the yard. She didn’t have the easiest race around Musselburgh as she got boxed in on the rail which left her with nowhere to go, the only way for her to get space and to show her speed was for Kevin to pull her out and to give her daylight as no gaps in the field came for her, she showed an impressive turn of foot to pull clear of the field by a couple of lengths to win with ease, huge congratulations to her owners Rogue Gallery Racing.

Kirkdale also ran exceedingly well on the Saturday (the 11th of April) to back up his previous win a week ago to win in fine style under a confident ride from Callum Rodriguez. He is a horse with a huge amount of ability and he is showing this more than ever after his short break after his winter campaign. He is in rip raring form at home and looks a million dollars, he is taking his racing very well and we look forward to seeing him on his next start! Huge congratulations to his owners Clarendon Thoroughbred Racing, it is absolutely brilliant to see our in-house syndicate having such a brilliant start to the season and we look forward to seeing where he might go!

Kirkdale winning at Southwell on Saturday

The season feels like it is in full swing now with many runners from the yard, it is brilliant to have officially got going after having been quieter over the winter months. As the month of April unfolds we are seeing the majority of horses having their seasonal debut runs, it is fantastic to see the horses running well and enjoying being back out after their winter break. We have a few runners this week and look forward to seeing how they run. Watch this space!
