Elim Wins!

I hope you enjoyed Ed’s first blog from the previous Bethell Racing post and enjoyed hearing his thoughts on this year so far.

Elim Winning under a fantastic ride from Callum Rodriguez.

I am very pleased to inform you that Elim made a very convincing win at Newcastle last Friday evening and she really enjoyed her race and came out of it the next day ready to run again!

Smiles all around after a fantastic win!

Skye Breeze ran at Southwell but unfortunately didn’t run the race we know he can as the field went a very slow pace throughout the race which wouldn’t suit him as he loves to gallop.

This week we have three runners, Powerful Response, Oviedo & Mountain Warrior. Powerful Response runs tonight at Southwell at 6pm under the ride of Callum Rodriguez. Oviedo runs at Newcastle on the 7th at 1.15 pm under the ride of Callum Rodriguez & Mountain Warrior runs at Southwell on the 9th at 4.25 pm also under the ride of Callum.

Good luck to all owners and all the connections of the horses. Fingers crossed we can keep up the fantastic strike rate Ed has at the moment of 35%!

Spring has now decided to appear after what seems a very long and grey winter, lets’s hope the sun is here to stay! In the glorious sunshine yesterday we had Nicola Wilson here, she was one of the leading ladies of the eventing world and has numerous prestigious wins to her name including winning individual gold at the European Championships not only this but she has completed Badminton, Burghley & other 5*’s around the world (the highest international level in eventing). She came to the yard to teach the lads, and we all found it hugely beneficial and very informative, we are very much looking forward to having her here again in a couple of weeks.
