A 27% Strike Rate For April

The horses continued their fantastic form into last week with Borjina running very well for her second career run and first run of the season at Catterick to run greenly but honestly under Kevin Stott. Not only did she pick up her winning prize money but she also picked up her Great British Bonus, this is a fantastic bonus of £20,000 to win for any British bred filly who wins their race, a double well done to her owners.

Zarinca set the mark heading into the weekend with her strong run at Southwell. She has come out of the winter months very strongly, she has grown and strengthened a huge amount and looks to be an exciting filly for the season ahead. Congratulations to her owner breeder Mr P Morrison for her great seasonal debut.

The boys weren’t to be outdone over the weekend, Codiak who was running at Nottingham on Sunday won impressively to hold out to the finish line. It was brilliant to see him back on the turf after having had his seasonal debut on the all weather. He is a really fun horse for his owners and is showing improvement every time he runs.

We have had a very successful April so far with 11 winners for the month and still with a couple more runners today for the last day of April. April has been a tremendous month for the team with an extremely strong strike rate of 27%, this is second to none and really is a credit to Ed, our team and of course the horses. They are looking absolutely magnificent and this is showing on the racetrack with how they are running. As I have mentioned previously that the horses are running with such confidence and are finishing their races very strongly. As this is the start of the season we hope that the horses continue their fantastic form with the bench mark they have set and the winners keep rolling in!

We hosted our in-house syndicate Clarendon Thoroughbred opening morning yesterday which was a brilliant morning where our members saw all of the Clarendon horses parade in the glorious sunshine followed by seeing them train on the gallops. A morning of seeing the horses was followed by delicious refreshments while catching up with one another and seeing our other superstars on the yard.

The parade for our open morning.
