Two Wins in Two Days
We have had a very successful 48 hours from Sunday leading into the start of the new week with a 100% strike rate from the two horses that were sent racing. We first of all had Coppull Hall Lane running at Redcar on Sunday who ran very impressively against a field full of boys, she showed them how to do it by winning very impressively under Callum Rodriguez. It was absolutely brilliant to see her win after having been beaten by a whisker on her previous start at Haydock. She is a big raw filly who is improving with each run, she has been given time to mature into her big frame which has been hugely beneficial to this filly especially as she has a quirk to her, so pushing the buttons too early on her could have been too much for her to take. We are all really looking forward to watching her race over the forthcoming months as she has an exciting career ahead of her.
Gressington was our second winner of the fantastic 48hour period and our first winner of the week on Monday to set us off in the correct manner. He ran at Beverly last night where he didn’t have the best of draws which can have its effects on the race if the start isn’t ridden correctly, Callum jumped out of the stalls with great positivity which put him in a fantastic position going into the first bend, he sat second behind the leader and they were travelling well. Gressington travelled well throughout the race and moved across the ground beautifully, really flicking his toe. It was fantastic to see him win with great determination and class which he showed last year as a 2 year old; we very much look forward to where he may head to next!
We look forward to a great week of racing (hopefully) this week with the horses, with runners all over the country. We have two 2 year old first timers that will make their debuts later this week which will be brilliant to see them on a racetrack!
Our runners today are Music History & Angel of England at Musselburgh this afternoon. Thursday runners are at Doncaster & Yarmouth which will see Kings Merchant & Cabrera run at Doncaster & Naepoint at Yarmouth. Friday sees two runners, one at Thirsk which is a first timer two year old colt & Quandry at York. Saturday’s entries sees another two year old colt make his debut at Newcastle along with other entries at Chester & York. Point Lynas has an entry at Pontefract in the Pomfret Stakes race.
We wish our owners and all connections the very best of luck with their runners and our team good luck and safe travels.
