Regional Heads To Newbury for a Gr.3
We have had a quieter time this week with runners, this isn’t for any other reason other than the races not being there for the horses to run in. Ed has seen this as a great opportunity for the horses to have a slightly easier time from racing and to freshen them up mid-season ready for the rest of the summer and then leading into the autumn months. It is always a long season having started at the beginning of April which then runs through into November. A few of the horses have enjoyed a quieter time in the paddock over the past couple of weeks which is lovely to see the horses relax in the field after a busy Spring and early summer, these horses will now pick their work routine back up and will be trained for a late summer/autumn campaign.
This Saturday sees Regional running on Saturday at Newbury in the Gr.3 Hackwood Stakes. Ed sees this as a fantastic opportunity for his mid-season run before being aimed at his early autumn campaign. He was due to run in the July Cup last Saturday but the ground went against him and was too soft.
Our other runners this week are today at Leicester which sees Catalan King and Oosterpark running at 3.10pm. Tomorrow we have Oolong Poobong making her debut at Haydock which will be very exciting to see how she runs. Quantum Leap will also run tomorrow at Haydock.
Our other weekend runners are Thewind Cries Mary & Marmaduke Lemon at Haydock. Our Sunday entry sees Coppull Hall Lane entered at Redcar on Sunday at 3.22pm.
Good luck to all of runners over the next few days and fingers crossed they can see the finish line first!
Today we have our second Clarendon Open Morning of the season which will be fantastic to see so many of our shareholders seeing their horses parade and then exercising on the gallops. It is always brilliant to host mornings like this to get everyone together, for new faces to meet our other shareholders and for everyone to catch up and to ask Ed questions and to see the horses developing at home rather than in a racing environment.
