Quantum Leap Wins On His Debut!
Bethell Racing had a fantastic start to the week with Quantum Leap storming into the lead at Southwell on his debut under the ride of Rowan Scott. He ran a fantastic race over the distance and won impressively, everyone at Bethell Racing was extremely pleased to see him show his ability. It has been a long road of time and patience from Ed who has always believed in him, as soon as he saw him at the sales he fell in love with his athletic physique. This a fantastic result for his owner who has been on this journey from the start with him and has allowed Ed to take his time with this tall upstanding horse, it really is a huge team effort from every single person involved!
James McHenry ran at Newcastle and didn’t run the race we know he is more than capable of; he ran a good race throughout but just didn’t manage to finish his race. He’s had a fantastic season and has been so close to getting to the finishing post first on all of his starts, but maybe he’s saving it for his 3yo season!
Eidikos runs in the Fillie’s Stakes at Newcastle at 1.30 under the ride of PJ McDonald. Best of luck to all connections and the team. Edikos will be our last runner on the turf for this season as the flat turf season comes to a close and then we will be focusing fully on the horses running on the all weather over the winter.
The yearlings we have in at the moment are being ridden away quietly and are taking to living on a racing yard very well. They have slotted into their routine and work life very professionally, long may this continue into next season! Hopefully, they are learning off the older horses but not any of their naughty ways!
The horses that are on holiday in the paddocks at Bethell Racing are thoroughly enjoying themselves in their off season after working hard this season. They are very relaxed and happy to be out in a heard environment enjoying some Doctor Green!
The horses enjoying their winter holiday.
