Quantum Leap Wins And A Very Nearly Weekend With A Treble!

 In Uncategorized

On Friday we saw Quantum Leap win extremely impressively at Haydock under an absolutely magnificent ride from Callum Rodriguez. Quantum Leap ran a fantastic race throughout and there was never any doubt he was going to win. Huge well done to his owner who has been extremely patient with Ed and Quantum Leap and gave him the time he needed to get to the racetrack. We were all hoping this was going to set our horses up for a brilliant day on Saturday.

Saturday was a very nearly day for the yard to have their first treble of the season! Not only did we have three seconds and a third, but all three of the horses that came second only got beaten by a head on each occasion! Unfortunately, this is horse racing and on another day it could have been three winners. The horses tried their absolute hardest in soft ground conditions after all the heavy rain we have had recently! We really couldn’t have asked anymore from the horses as they tried so hard! Well done to all the owners and connections of all the horses and all of the staff who made this possible as we had four different runners at four different racecourses. Oviedo also ran a huge race to come 3rd at Newbury in the listed race on Saturday. We are all looking forward to their next runs as they have all come out of their races very well and are ready to race again!

On Monday we saw Initio have his debut run at Musselburgh for his owner and he ran a very respectful race to come 3rd, this is a fantastic starting point, and we along with his owners and connections look forward to his next run!

This week sees a busy time with runners on Friday and Saturday with Open Choice racing on Friday at Ascot, Bury Lane runs at Thirsk on Friday for his debut run. On Saturday Lowton runs at Ascot and James McHenry runs at Newmarket. Good luck to our owners, all of their connections, the jockeys, and all of our staff! We also have our staff bbq on Sunday which we are all looking forward to, hopefully the rain stays away otherwise we might all get a bit soggy!
