End of Season Owners Lunch Party
On Saturday we had our end of season lunch party for our owners to celebrate the fantastic season we have had, and to also say a huge thank you to our loyal and supportive owners. We had a brilliant day from start to finish, which started off with a yearling parade of some of our yearlings which is lovely for the owners to meet the new faces on the yard.
Time spent on the yard viewing the new yearlings with a glass of fizz in hand was followed by a champagne reception at the Bell Bar which is a fantastic venue a few hundred meters from the yard, we are very fortunate to have such a fantastic venue so close to the yard, especially for occasions like this! As our owners arrived at the Bell Bar they were greeted with a glass of bubbles, a roaring fire and a film of all of the winners from this year which was great to see a video of them back to back, the barn was dressed with our owners silks which really added to the room too.
We sat down for a very delicious lunch accompanied by equally delicious wine, the atmosphere of the room was relaxed and there felt like a real buzz around the room with lots of conversation. After our main course Ed spoke about our season and what a wonderful time it has been, we really have been blessed with such an exceptional year. Ed is very keen to build on this year, and to better the results and statics of this year to the next. Following on from the speech Ed spoke about the yearlings we had for sale while the film showed them stood up and walking, this was also accompanied by our brochure which had our Newsletter (keep your eye out for seeing it on the website in due course), our winners list and our yearlings for sale.
The talk by Ed was followed by a few more drinks and a selection of puddings, a brilliant day was had by all and was a huge success for everyone that came. We are already thinking how how we can build on this day and make it better for next year, but for now we will enjoy the day that was had by all.
It was a very exhausting day for all and we all needed a rest afterwards, especially after the yearling parade!
