A Winner for Clarendon

Welbury won very well at Southwell on Saturday afternoon which was fantastic to see him set off his ’26 campaign in tremendous form. It was great to see him win and for his owners Mr Carrick and our in-house syndicate Clarendon Thoroughbred’s. It was brilliant to see their patience rewarded with a win and and after learning the ropes last season as a two-year-old and to put into place what he had learnt. It was some of our shareholders first win after having invested into him as a yearling and it was amazing to have been on this journey from the beginning with them as first time race horse owners.

As we near the start of the turf season we are all very excited about what the season has in store for the team of horses that we have. Our two-year-olds have managed to canter on the grass which is brilliant for this time of year with the dry Spring that we have had. All the horses are really starting to come in their coats and they are really glowing and showing that they are ready for the season ahead. Fingers crossed and we look forward to seeing our first runner on the turf soon!
