A Exceptional Week For The Team!
The team had an unbelievable week last week with the horses running exceptionally well to bring home six wins which also included a listed win too! The week started with the two winners at Redcar & Beverly which I wrote about in my previous post and the rest of the horses were not going to be outdone. Music History picked up the winning baton on her fourth start where she won extremely impressively to win by three lengths at Musselburgh. She ran very professionally throughout her race and took it all in her stride it was great to see her win so well for her owners the Future Champion Syndicate along with all of their shareholders within her.
The following day saw the team have a very impressive double at Doncaster which was headed by Kings Merchant who made it his third win of the season for the yard and his owners. He looked absolutely fantastic in the parade ring and was really showing what good form he was in. He raced brilliantly and stayed on to the finish line to win for his owners the Hope Edan Syndicate and all of the shareholders involved. Cabrera was not doing to be outdone by her stable mate and cruised around Doncaster racetrack very impressively to win by several lengths. She won a very healthy prize pot with over £20,000 to the winner. She is a very exciting filly with a great future ahead of her, she is extremely genuine and really wants to try and please, her facial expression is always so happy, whether that’s cantering up the gallops, racing or in her stable having mints. A brilliant win for her owners the Hot to Trot syndicate as well as her owner breeder.
Point Lynas finished the week off in very fine style to travel throughout his race that there wasn’t any doubt he was going to win. He set out like he meant business in true Point Lynas style and left the rest of the field his his rear view mirror! It was great to see him win a race of this calibre for the yard and for his owners who are huge supporters of Ed and the team. Point Lynas has had lost of extra mints which he has thoroughly enjoyed and is enjoying his downtime in the paddock with the sunshine of his back! Well done to Callum who rode all of the winners last week for Ed, it is brilliant to see him flying on the horses!
We had a couple of two year old colts running for the first time last week and it was very much a first day at school for these two colts as there was a lot to take in. They didn’t race too greenly and they would have learnt a huge amount for their days racing and will have had time to digest what they learnt before putting it to good use for when they race again which we look forward to.
We have a great week ahead with two runners at Goodwood with Yorkshire running on Wednesday in the World Pool Handicap & Intrusively runs on Thursday in the Richmond Stakes Group 2. Good luck to Clarendon Thoroughbred Syndicate, our in house syndicate who owns Yorkshire and to Intrusively’s owner for the runs.
The other runners we have this week are Callout at Redcar & See That Storm at Redcar on Wednesday. Skinny Malinka makes his debut at Nottingham on Thursday. Our entries for this week are Music History at Musselburgh. Oolong Poobong is at Newcastle on Friday, also on Friday Lowton is entered at Newmarket. Chillingham has been entered at Goodwood on Saturday in the Coral Summer Handicap. Hamilton sees three entries with Angel of England, Cavalier Approach & Quantum Leap all hopefully head there. James McHenry is entered at Thirsk on Saturday. Two entries on Sunday at Haydock which are Old Cock and Coppull Hall Lane. A lot of the above entries are ground dependent and will rely on the thunderstorms that we are potentially due later this week.
