Point Lynas Wins At The York Dante Meeting!
Point Lynas won in fine form yesterday at York. He sprung out the stalls like he meant business and he wasn’t going to let anyone catch him over the mile long race. He was reaching and maintaining speeds of 40mph; this really is phenomenal over this distance. He looked a million dollars in the parade ring and he was in prime form ready for his first run of the season, he was turned out beautiful by Barbara who also very deservingly won best turned out too! Callum Rodriguez who rode him did a fantastic job of letting Point Lynas do what Point Lynas do best and gave him a very positive ride.
He ran from the front from start to finish and when the horse that came second came near him he dug deep and stuck his head down and went again, he wasn’t letting anyone take the win this time and it was absolutely brilliant to see Point Lynas in the winners enclosure. He really does have the heart of a lion and tries so hard. He is 5 years old this year and he is seemingly getting better each year, it is very exciting to see where he might go this season; watch this space! Ed was thrilled with how he ran and it meant a huge amount to Ed to win at the Dante meeting.
Chillingham had a great run on Wednesday at York and finished a very commendable 3rd in his race, he has an exciting season ahead with a few potential races in mind for him.
