Start of the flat season
The flat season starts this weekend, at Doncaster and we have a runner on Sunday, in Briardale, who was entered in the Lincoln, but we have decided to opt for a mile and two race the next day. Two year old racing is also starting, and all our two year olds are going well, if you are interested in buying a share then now is the time to do it!
Last week, even though we didn’t come home with any winners, we had a very good week with all the runners finishing in the first four, and all the jockeys being very pleased with them. We are sure all four runners ( Spirit of Rome, Cray, On Fire and Mister Bob) will be winning very soon! We are currently on a 18% strike rate for the year, and with the horses going well we are sure it can only get better.
Last week Yogi Briesner came and gave some of the staff a lesson in our new arena, it was very successful with the riders and horses learning a lot- we used three fillies, which were Cuckoos Calling, Flawlessly and Decrees of Motion, and there was a huge improvement in how they were going by the end of the hour.
Next week it is the Ascot breeze up sales, and then Doncaster and Newmarket in the following weeks- we have a shortlist of very nice looking horses to view so if you are interested in buying a horse from these sales please let us know!
