Spring has finally sprung
We are really starting to hit our stride, with the nice weather on the horses back’s they look like they are really coming to themselves, their skin’s are looking great and they are extremely fresh and well.
This week we have a huge amount of entries, we start with New Society tomorrow at Catterick, he has really come to himself in the past two weeks and I believe he should give a good account of himself in what looks a competitive contest.
Friday sees us have three potential runners, two at Doncaster and one at Perth. Jessinamillion and Cray are both entered at Doncaster. I think it will be touch and go whether Jessinamillion will get in due to him being rated 71 in a 0-70 handicap. Cray on the other hand will get in and he is very fresh and well at home so we are looking forward to getting him on the track. Mon Ami Bob, is also entered to run on Friday at Perth in a bumper. We gave him two quite quick runs just over a month ago so he has had a freshen up and I would like to think he could run a nice race.
On Saturday we have three entries. First of them being Portledge he will be making his way down to Leicester and I think Andrea Atzeni will take the mount. His work over the past couple of weeks has been good and I would be hopeful he could run a big race. We could also be heading to Ripon with two horses. Truth or Dare makes his seasonal debut and he has really started to thrive the past two weeks and I would be hopeful he could give a good account of himself. Pilkington also has an entry on Saturday at Ripon and we will look through the race to see whether it looks a suitable opportunity.
Finally, Sunday we have five entries including Ulshaw Bridge, Mudawwan,Jessinamillion, Penistone, Cuckoo’s calling and Harrogate. They are all very well in themselves at home and we are looking forward to running them.
All the two year olds are really starting to come on nicely and a few of them did their first piece of work on the grass last week.
Fingers crossed it could be an exciting week.
