It’s about to turn to October and we have had a good year so far and we certainly are not finished yet. Tonight Mudawwan runs at Newcastle under Josephine Gordon, he has slipped to a mark that is certainly workable, considering his French form is now looking very good! We have been happy with the way he has trained and I am hopeful that a tongue tie may bring out a little extra effort from him.
We are quiet over the weekend, however Monday sees Tie a YellowRibbon come out again at Catterick, where we are dropping her back to 6F, she has been in good form since her run at Redcar and Paul Hanagan will keep the ride. She is a filly we like and I am certainly hopeful that she can get a one next to her name and then we can think about giving her a little break and freshening her up for next year.
Next week sees us have a few more entries; Wednesday we have four entered two at Newcastle and two at Nottingham. Cale Lane and New Society go to Nottingham for their series finale’s they are both in good order and look very well, so we are hopeful that they will be competitive and give us something to shout about.
Wednesday evening sees On Fire and Call Me Madam go to Newcastle they have both been freshened up since there last runs and although the races look very competitive we think they should go well.
Thursday will see Adjourned get his first entry at Huntingdon, this son Rip Van Winkle has done nothing but thrive over the summer months and we are hoping that our patience will duly be rewarded, he is a horse that we like and I would like to think he should give a very good account of himself.
Finally next week, Ulshaw Bridge will run at Ascot in a 0-90 classified stakes, we looked at him last night and he looks fantastic, he has been a model of consistency all year and I think there is still a bit more to come for him.
Furthermore we will be at the sales for next few weeks in Ireland and Newmarket looking to source the next Penhill or Ulshaw Bridge. If you would be keen to get involved in a fun and exciting team please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us!
