Embracing the cold weather
We are all set and ready to embrace ourselves for the next few days of bad weather. It was a very brisk morning on the gallops, however all horses were safely exercised and we are delighted to report they are all back in their stables and wrapped up nice and warm.
We have three runners this week. Penistone is the first of them at Newcastle, he will be making his eagerly anticipated debut. This well related son of Pivotal, has been pleasing us at home and we are looking forward to him taking his chance. He has had niggly problems all his life, but it finally seems as if our teams hard work and dedication is finally about to be paid off, thats if the snow doesn’t cause havoc. Kevin Stott will be taking the ride and although he will be fit enough to do himself justice I think he will certainly come on for the run.
On Thursday we travel back to Newcastle weather dependent again. We will have two runners that evening, ThankyouVerymuch, will run in the first and she returns to the track where her recent form has been rock solid, it certainly looks like the right race for her and I would be extremely hopeful she will be very competitive.
We also have Rich Again, he will be running in the last race and although it looks competitive I think I have him in the best form we have had him in all year! He looks fantastic in his skin and has been training really well.
Fingers crossed all the fixtures will go ahead and we will hopefully have a good week.
Finally, Mon Ami Bob made his seasonal reappearance on Saturday at Newcastle and he fared very well for a long way and he will certainly come on for the run. Fingers crossed we will be able to find a similar contest for him soon.
