Our 2 year old filly Conistone went very close to winning on her first start under Graham Lee at Thirsk on Saturday. After being knocked about a bit and having to manoeuvre around horses she couldn’t quite get going in time and catch the race favourite but was only beaten 3/4 of a length. All in all a very promising debut from a filly we think a lot of.
On Tuesday the draw once again went against yard stalwart Rich Again. Being drawn 9 of 10 over 5 1/2 furlongs round Weatherby, the only option was to drop in and hope for luck in running, once again he put in a fantastic effort to only go down by 2 lengths.
We’ve now got two runners over the next few days with Flawlessly having her racecourse debut over 5f round Catterick and Chiringuita having her seasonal bow in the Silver Bowl Stakes over 1m at Haydock. Both exciting fillies are going well and we’re hopeful both will show their best on course.
