April Pt.3

 In News

We’ve had quite a busy week here at Thorngill as the entries start to build up.  Briardale looked in far better form than last time out in only going down by a length at Beverley, unfortunately his groom Hannah went down with a tummy bug after eating in the canteen there!  In Rich Again’s race at Doncaster they probably didn’t go fast enough up front for him and he ran well to finish just over a length behind the very well backed favourite.  Shortly after the start of SS Vega’s race at Pontefract, the filly was knocked into behind and sustained a cut to her near hind pastern, this clearly had an effect and she was unable to show herself.

This afternoon we have 2 runners at Ripon with Rich Pursuit and On Fire taking each other on in the 4:55 race!  Both are in good form at home although this is Rich Pursuit’s first visit to the racecourse.  On Sunday at Thirsk we have Lady Canford running in the 2:50 race, she’s another that’s going well at home and we hope she’ll transfer that to the track this time.  We’ve got 3 on course at Ayr on Monday with Princess Peaches (4:20), Thankyouverymuch (5:25) and Hazely (5:55) all set for the trip up north and on Tuesday at Pontefract our Clarendon Thouroughbred Racing colt Coverham (pictured above, leading a piece of work this week) is scheduled to have his first ever run, over 5f.  With a small number of shares still available for him, now is the time to get involved, please feel free to contact us for more information.
