A Winning start to the month.
Gainsbourg Gains his Second Win of the Season.
It is a delight to report that Gainsbourg kick started the month with a win in the last at Pontefract on Monday night (05/10). Under a powerful ride from PJ McDonald Gainsbourg was driving to the line in a slow motion finish to secure the win. With the slow pace in the soft terrain PJ must have felt like the final furlong was never going to end, never the less Gainsbourg got the job done! Congratulations to his owner Mr Willie Carson and all the team at home.
Fearby Never Fails to Please.
I’m sure it came as no surprise to watch Fearby battle hard in the Tattersalls October Auction Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday (5/10). As the field split into two groups Ryan, to Fearbys advantage positioned him with plenty of cover midfield, before shaking him up to take the lead of the group over 1f out. Fearby fiercely continued to quicken, remaining at the front of the group on the near side, staying on strongly to take second place. It is unambiguous that Fearby was unlucky to have bumped into the unexposed winner who stormed home impressively from the far side of the field.
Fearby has had a wonderful season, his impressive win at Sandown in the Coral Dragon Stakes was only the beginning. Never finishing outside the top 4 places in his 7 starts sounds impressive before adding that these races include the Molcomb Stakes, the Gimcrack Stakes and the Mill Reef Stakes.. WOW! What Fearby lacks in height he makes up for with his attitude. With a heart of a lion, Fearby portrays that all good things come in small packages! His professionalism is exceptional, both at home and on the track. He aims to please, and he has certainly been on target with his aim. Throughout the season he has brought uncountable smiles to many faces, however we are in debate as to who has had the biggest smile courtesy of Fearby; was it Ed or was it seen on the face of the member of staff who feels privileged to get the leg up onto him on a daily basis? We are delighted for his Owners; Clarendon Racing and Ed who personally purchased Fearby for £21,000 at Tattersalls … money well spent! Heres to next season with Fearby.
