We have been very quiet over the past two weeks on the runners front, this is partly down to the snow and of course we are really waiting for the Turf season. This week we have two runners. ThankYouverymuch and Penistone.

Thankyouverymuch goes to Newcastle tomorrow in a handicap that looks the right spot for her, she has run disappointingly the last twice but she has had her excuses and I think she is good form, the right grade and the right man on board PJ Mcdonald. She should give a good account of herself.

Penistone makes his eagerly anticipated debut at Southwell on Wednesday, he is in good form and he is in desperate need of this run. It looks the right spot and of course like all of ours he will come on for the run. However, he is bred in the purple being a half brother to Rimth who was a Royal Ascot winning two year old, so he is bred to be okay. We are all hopeful that he will run a respectable race.

In other news all the horses for the main season are building up nicely and there work has stepped up in the past two weeks, we will have a few gallopers this week.

Our two year old’s are coming along really nicely and I couldn’t be happier with how they are, they look a really nice bunch.

Finally, Cheltenham is upon us and it looks like one of our old friends will be taking part in the Stayers’ Hurdle, Penhill has done very well since his switch to jumping and I would like to think he will run very close this week.
