2 winners over the weekend
We had a good weekend with two winners on Friday and Saturday. On Fire started the ball rolling by winning on Friday evening at Ripon under a great ride by Kevin Stott. He had certainly come on for his run at Kempton and I would like to think there will be even more improvement in him for the remainder of the season.
On Saturday we travelled to Thirsk where Harrogate won very impressively under a confident ride by George Wood. He had been dropped a few pounds in the Handicap and I would like to think that it will be onward and upwards for this sprinter, he certainly showed that he was a horse in a rich vein of form. Fingers crossed there is still more to come.
This week it is a little quieter we have 4 entries two of them at the York Dante festival. Cray could possibly go there in the two mile contest but he will need a few to come out to get a run. Firby also has an entry on the Friday, which he will get into, however the question is whether or not he will stay the 1m3f, although his pedigree suggests an extra furlong may be within in his reach.
Also on Friday we have Portledge at Newmarket in what looks a competitive race but he has come out of his race at Newcastle in great form and I think if the ground is not too soft he will be able to give a good account of himself.
On Saturday we have entered Waddington at Doncaster races, this good looking colt by Lethal Force has been working nicely at home and all being well I would like to think he will take his chance at Doncaster.
Fingers crossed we will have another winner or two this week.
